is life about choices?

or we just do what God had written for us even before we were born?
i KNOW life IS about choices. this question came up to me this morning after reading a silly email from a friend of mine.
it said, sometimes we can do nothing about things in our life, we just go with the flow and let time tell.
i don't think so and i KNOW it's WRONG.

cos i've been there once, did a GREAT mistake in my life. never (till now) did I ever think of 'blaming' it on God's fate (na'udzubillah mindzalik!). i knew it was MY fault, that i had choices but i chose the wrong one. and now i can only do my best to repay for it.

i guess she doesn't feel guilty (let alone ashamed) bout that damned relationship she's having with a married man. yeah... married man.
i can't understand how can she blames God for the things SHE commited? astagfirullah aladzim...
may Allah The Most Merciful shines her heart with hidayah and guide her to the Right Path again...

no need to be angry, i guess. she chose her path, and i chose mine. let there be no crossing-path in this one choice, amin...
